RIMA Group's central objective is the energy transition, transforming its energy matrix, raw materials and processes to be more efficient and sustainable. The company has already achieved 100% of its electricity coming from renewable sources and now aims for at least 50% of this matrix to be made up of solar and wind energy.
The next step will be the construction of the Capitão Enéas Solar Complex, an innovative project that will supply clean, renewable solar energy to RIMA's Silicon Metal production plant. The energy generated by the solar complex will be used in the production of metallurgical grade silicon, an essential raw material for the manufacture of solar modules. This virtuous cycle demonstrates the company's commitment to sustainable practices and to advancing the energy transition.
Currently, the RIMA Group gets 100% of its electricity from renewable sources, either from its own production or through PPAs with generating companies, mainly from hydro, solar and wind sources.
