The research and development department plays a crucial role in the engineering sector. In this area, advanced tools and software are used to optimize projects, guaranteeing energy efficiency, safety and sustainability. These tools enable detailed simulations and analyses to be carried out, making it possible to predict and optimize the performance of complex structures and components. Through these analyses, the team is able to identify bottlenecks, optimize layouts and make strategic decisions regarding production flow.
Through these tools, the RIMA Group is proud to say that all of its operating furnaces and dedusting systems were planned and executed by its own Engineering department. In addition, the entire mineral processing process carried out at its mines is also routinely optimized by RIMA's team of engineers.
The technological aspects of the RIMA Group are not only focused on engineering. RIMA develops eucalyptus clones to be used in charcoal production with the best characteristics to optimize the productivity of its forests and charcoal production as well as with the ideal metallurgical characteristics to produce sustainable silicon and magnesium-based alloys. This development has been ongoing for the last 42 years.
